can not find /media/cdrom-sr0 ,, can not /mnt/cdrom

i want to write a cd, i insert a blanc cd but in the file system i go to /media/cdrom i click on it . it says.." the directory /mnt/cdrom does not exist,, still i try to burn , then the simple-cdr says no-cd ///wrong cd.. can any body say how to mount the blanck cd to write.. automount is not working...

Ok ,, now the problem is solved,, actually i did not mount the blanck cd , so it was not detected,,

To solve this problem first i used a cd in the cdrom which already has data,, i mounted the used cd and opened a file to check if it is working,,
Then i opened the cdrom and removed the used cd and now keep blanck-cd on the tray but , i did not closed the cdrom,kept it open , after that i tried to write with simplecdr-x and it sucessfully burn the blanck cd....(pulling the cd by itself)
